Back Home by Michelle Magorian

This story is set in 1945, when children who were evacuated to America went back to England. One of the children who came back was 12- year old Rusty.

When she came back, her younger brother hates her, her mother is too strict on her, her grandmother doesn't like her, and...she has to go to boarding school.

At school, the students don't like her accent, and the teachers don't like her attitude.

How is Rusty going to cope?

This story made me cry... =[
And this really tells you alot about the days during WW2

Well, you should read Back Home...I cried for 5 minutes....It was just so.... I can just imagine what Rusty is going through...What her mother is going through.......

Is it a true story?
my grandma's cat was called Rusty.. i found her under the car xD
ohhh there's this movie called Wolf Creek. it's apparently really scary *hasnt seen it... yet* and it's based on a true story that happened right here in Australia!! I generally like scary movies but when it comes to things that realyl happened i get freaked out! especially when the actors are ones that aren't really super massively famous.

And no...it isn't based on a true story...but just imagine...You got sent of to America at the age of 7, even if you didn't want to, leaving your mum behind...living in America for 5 years, and then having to go back...And starting all over again...Your mum expecting you to be what you were before you left...And no one understands that you've grown up, have become more of an individual...

It's really sad at the end...
