| Oh, i was wondering about this before, do you say candy, lollies, confectionary or sweets? We say lollies here, or candy in a mocking way. | |

| In New Zealand we say lollies ussually, but some people say candy. Definitely not confectionary though it is used in supermarkets. | |

| Well... We say Lolly if we are talking about lollipops... but candy for everything else. At least I do, but some people substitute the word candy for sweets. Confections is only really used in the context of confectioners sugar... | |

| Yeah my grandma says confectionary but she uses the 'proper' language all the time so maybe that's just her. xD
Ah so when you, miaka, are asking for a lollypop you would say 'lolly' for short?
i think most of the tenses in NZ and Aus are the same.. but sometimes different pronounciations.

| Well, it varies, but I normally ask for a lolly if I want a lollipop. In the US (Or at least where I live) saying lolly is a really childish thing to do, because it is viewed as the simple thing to say, and therefor what little kids say. | |

And cricket is boring too, in my opinion. I'm not really good at that. But I'm good at sprinting! [Because it's like I'm running away. LOL]

| I spell it both ways. There really isn't a right or wrong... At my camp one year, our team was the flying squirrels. We couldn't figure out if it was grey or gray... so we spelled it graey! LOL! | |
