| In America the school system is: Preschool (optional): Up to age 4 -lower school- Kindergarten: Age 5 1st grade:6 2nd Grade: 7 3rd grade: 8 4th grade: 9 5th grade: 10 -middle school- 6th grade: 11 7th grade: 12 8th grade: 13 -upper school- 9th grade: 14 10th grade: 15 11th grade: 16 12th grade: 17
The ages are how old you commonly are at the beginning of the school year. | |

| Ohhh i always thought middle school went 7-9.. you learn something new everyday! xD Well the average age of people in year 10 is 16, and at this stage, some people might want to go to TAFE after year 10, or get an apprenticeship or something else instead of going onto year 11 and 12. I think it's pretty much the same amount of people that drop out and do TAFE as the people who go on to year 11 and 12 to do Uni.. Although i think the stats are rising for 11 and 12 attendees. | |

| Wow... um... hard question... its like... a school you go to but its like uni but the length of school.. and... some people go there to learn aprenticeships... like... hairdressing.. umm... it's hard to explain... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TAFE Read that. lol i don't know if its any help.. ask a parent? i guess you could call it Cram school or something along the lines of. | |
