when you learn Japanese you learn to write the characters. But I think that they might also teach the romanization, in case you cant write in characters, and if it makes it easier to learn! @.@ ahhh! so confuzzled!

Yeah, I understand! Like, rather then saying the character for Cat you would say Neko. ^___^ at least... I think thats what you are saying!

Shwah? :S
Also, does 'Ai' = 'love' in japanese?
confusions:
- In the theme song for Sister Princess, they say 'and (ai ai ai) want to see you tonight' or something, and the subtitles say 'and (love love love) want to see you tonight'.
- In Princess Ai, would that meen it's Princess Love, and she come from Loveland?
- In the manga Ai love you, does that mean its 'love love you'?
Or does Ai mean something completely different?

Yes, Ai means love. The manga, A.I. Love you is a play on words, using the word Ai (as in love) and A.I. Like artificial intelligence. In sister princess, I'm guessing that its the same thing, using the word Ai as a substitute for I. Yeah, Princess Ai is also Princess Love, which is, again, a play on words. I think that the manga-ka who wrote it has the kanji ai in their name, and also, Courtney Love, the co-writer of the book has love in her name.

Ah... that's really clever! I didn't even think of that about Princess Ai.. Is A.I love you good? lol. play on words. *imagines little children skipping along huge block letters in the sun* :P
So how do you use the -san and -chan etc properly?

"-san" is like saying "mr." "ms." or "mrs.", basically a more polite way of adressing someone. "-chan" is a cute friendly way of addressing someone, usually people use this for girls, but it can be used for guys as well.

btw, isn't it kind of funny how the topic of this post is titled "don't reply to this", but we have three pages of replies? lol! lol! afro flower

okay... I'm just gonna post my own reply! (poo to you ishiko, I wanted to reply first!)

San- most common honorific and is a title of respect.
Chan-informal version of san used to address children and female family members.
Kun-informal honorific primarily used towards males (it is still used towards females, but rarely).
Senpai- used to address senior colleagues or mentor figures
Sensei- used to refer to or address teachers
Sama-formal version of san.

Hmmm... wikipedia doesn't say anything about it and none of the comments on the video say anything about it either..so i am asuming it is a nickname that the evil grandmother gave Tamaki. I highly dislike that grandmother of his.

I mean i could understand the meanness of a grandmother in the *doesn't know dates* olden days, but not these days. I didn't really like Elclair or whatever her name was, she was very up herself. But i guess she was kind .. in a way, to think that if she married Tamaki, he could meet his mother.. But there are other ways to do that too!

i think that it was more of entrapment for her to say that with the marrying deal, but kinder of her to let him go with Haruhi.

yeah... I think it was really sad though... she was in love with Tamaki... he just didn't love her at all.

*wipes tear from eye* so touching!! I think she could have gone about.. wooing Tamaki better than she did. If she had heard of how lovely he was from his mother then wouldn't she know to be kind to him too?
