Haha! my elective history teacher says that! Right-e-oh. His so impatient for our class to shut up, he says it about 5 times before he yells at us.

haha! I think once teachers get used to you they know just when to yell and not to yell. Cos my teacher used to yell all the time, but he learnt from his mistakes. xD
So you're in year 8 right? Have you chosen your electives yet?

Electives are like... extra classes sort of thing. Here, in year 7 and 8, you have classes such as art, textiles, music, woodwork, computers, etc. This is so when you are in year 9, you have an idea of what classes you want to do. (like in harry potter when they had to choose they're classes for their 3rd year or whatever year it was)
The electives are to give you an idea for what you want to do when your older - occupation wise. So say you choose aggriculture, commerce and woodwork as your electives, you may want to become a farmer or a bussiness person or work in a trade after doing those classes. Some schools have 2 electives or 3, it depends on how long a class goes for.
Does that make sense?
At my school, we have 3 electives because our classes only go for 35-40 minutes. I chose to do IST (computer studies), Elective History (Ancient history and modern histoy for year 10) and Photography.
You generally do different subjects in your classes over the two years, like in elective history, we did Ancient history this year, and are doing Modern history next year. (we still have normal history where we learn about our country and the war and things). In photography, this year was more prac and next year will be more theory. In computers, we did boring stuff this year and do fun stuff next year. xD

Oh, no, that starts in ninth grade, a year from now! We do have these things called lunch electives though, and they happen on wensday and friday... You join a club and do random stuff. Its fun! Next year I want to take up art, basic foundation, and then, the year after that, I can do 3-D art!!!!!!!

That'd be cool! We only have the christian club but its not very fun. I think it'd be cool to go join clubs in school like they do in japan.. lol! imagine a real male host club!

I keep forgetting you don't end your year at the same time as we do! So confusing! lol.
American schools have such great opportunities! *is jealous*

I am so jealous of Japanese School electives! And sports! I really wish my school had archery!!! (I do consider myself to be an archer, I am (not trying to toot my own horn) the best archer at my camp)

I want to know what a host club is like... and if there is someone who looks like Tamaki there, I'm buying him and keeping him as a pet.
